Saturdays

our saturdays changed beginning today. hubby started work at a new place, and this place requires him to work saturdays. i think working saturdays is useless and is taking a step behind. you not only waste half of the day (and if you come back tired and would need a nap, then it would be a waste of a full day), but you also go to work doing almost nothing. i used to work saturdays about 10 years ago. we would go in, have a long breakfast, read emails, reply emails, surf a bit, start getting down to doing work, look at the watch...ah, another 30 minutes to closing time and we start packing up. work? nobody does anything on saturdays.

for me, handling 2 boys alone is not bad. handling 2 toddlers and a baby, now that's something i'm worried about. so far, the boys have been easy, especially at this age. today i managed to do everything rather quickly.

6:50am - hubby and i wake up, subuh, hubby showers and get ready for work
7:00am - i go down, boil the water for asyraf's flask, put clothes into the washing machine, open the curtains, switch off the lights
7:15am - prepare the boys clothes for the day
7:20am - as i'm walking around, the boys would get up
7:25am - brush amir's teeth, give him something to eat (biscuits or bread), give asyraf his bottle
7:30am - hubby leave the house, we watch from the balcony
7:40am - put asyraf in his playpen, bathe amir, start asyraf's water
8:00am - put on amir's dvd, bathe asyraf (very short bath cos i cant squat down for a long time)
8:10am - let the boys play while i make the beds
8:20am - put out the laundry, my turn to eat

there...i could do everything within 1 hour and a bit more. but with 2 toddlers and a baby, i'm sure it wont be as easy as this. i dont have any backup plan for the moment. get my sister to take amir? nah...saturdays are her busy day. plus then we would need to go and pick him up. if we wait for her to send him home, that would be after dinner and i dont want to miss any more time with amir than necessary.

i just wish hubby would get another job, one that doesnt require him to work saturdays. we need a lot of family time, especially when the boys are young, and we need our rest, especially when we rush to and from work 5 days a week.

now to give asyraf his breakfast, another bottle and to put him in the playpen for his morning nap...

u listed ur itinerary 4 2 hrs of ur day?
not surprised!!
hahahaha...

eh, baru nak suggested ur backup plan 2 u already mentioned it...
in fact i was just thinking about exactly what u said in ur blog td, when u said ei is working saturdays last nite...how lah 2 handle 3 boys alone?

can lah...
dulu mmg my saturdays paling bz coz most ppl send their cars 4 servicing masa saturdays coz not working...
but here, since banks n jpj only open 5 days a wk, saturdays r pretty relaxed...
mcm 2day pun we r just doing some gotong royong 2 get ready 4 the launch n cleaning the showroom...hence my coming 2 work at 10.30am...hehehe...

can lah...
in fact i think its better pun...coz amir being so active, at least dia tak boring n hv sthing 2 do...
i can sleepover on fridays n bring him terus in the morning...
after lunch i can get away kejap n send him back...
kat wshop mmg stimes no time pun 2 eat lunch on saturdays but here after 1 when the admin ppl dah balik, its pretty quite...

so can lah...
problem fixed...
hehehehe...

..and u still got time to post an entry. Supermommylah babe. Can do house chores while taking care of the kids. You're worrying about taking care of 3 kids. I, 2 ni pun belum tentu boleh survive..haha...Aliff hates the playpen/crib. Nak pergi toilet & nak solat pun susah ini macam! And Ashraff loves to peluk his adik from the back whenever aliff is standing. Geram tgk aliff diri, dia cakap. So that the adik off balance and falls down. Can never leave them alone...

I'm looking at the photos of your two boys in your last entry. Asyraf ni tall lah. Almost as tall as amir kan?

I have to say this again, you're one amazing lady. I'd be throwing tantrum if my husband works on saturday. In fact, I always did.Hehehe...sungguh malu.

Btw, dont forget you have neighbours for emergency, okay. I dont mind another couple of boys. Enough boys toys and vcd to paralyse them

wow... i after subuh terus doze off back to my dreamland... Aidan usually wakes up around 8ish.

I agree with Rafiqa, u are such a supermommy. Please share the secrets. Nak jaga Aidan sorang pun i'm having trouble. Aidan is the type who cannot be left alone even if i need to go pee.. huhuhu
